After reading about this place I was eager to try it. It's located in the Mexican War Streets in the Northside which is right down the street from where I live. I called in a take out order since I didn't have time for a full sit down meal. The person who answered the phone was friendly and helpful. I ordered the soft pretzels with truffle mustard and the rosemary goat cheese and green apple burger with a side of home fries. When I went in, my order was ready to go which I appreciated. Like others have said, all the food seems to be cooked at a flat top at the end of the bar which is weird. The pretzels were nothing special but the truffle mustard was delicious and flavorful. The burger was juicy and the goat cheese was melted over it with the apples cut into match sticks. I ordered the burger medium well and it was just that. The burger was great. The home fries were run of the mill and like a lot of other posters I can say their side dish menu is lacking. They should invest in a fryer and offer some french fries or other options. Overall my first experience with Benjamins was positive and I would definitely try it again!
