  • I was at this Lowes location yesterday (07/21) to buy some plants. I had bought their gift card from Staples that was on sale. The person at checkout counter called in her "manager" (I think) to ask if she can accept the e-gift card that I bought from Staples. I was told by this manager that it is illegal to buy Lowes gift cards from other places at a discount. I have done done that several times and I am sure it isn't illegal. If it was illegal, I don't think Staples would sell them. I wish I had noted her name. I was told that she is going to contact "loss prevention" to investigate. Bottom line, I am never going to this store again. I know she was trying to do her job, but that left a bad taste in my mouth. Sorry, but you lost a good customer.
