Mike Baca did a great job finishing the rebuild of the 700R4 transmission on my '67 Camaro RS. The shop in San Francisco that started the rebuild didn't finish the job correctly - the new tranny leaked and the shifts were a bit too positive. Luckily, I found Baca's Transmission on the national member list of warranty shops that covered the workmanship on my new transmission for 12 months / 12K miles.
After the tranny fix, my MSD Ignition controller gave out on the way home, so I had the car towed back to Baca's to replace it. While they were waiting for a new controller from the parts store, one of Baca's techs adjusted my brake light switch (it was loose) which I really appreciated. I appreciate a shop that cares about little things like that.
One year later, my '67 earned a consignment spot at the 2011 Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas auction, and it ended up being sold overseas. If I ever have drivetrain issues on another vehicle, I will definitely give Mike a call.
