First off, I lived in the South nearly all of my life and grew up in Kentucky. I lived in Mississippi and I spent many weekends in New Orleans so I know what "Soul Food" is supposed to taste like. Anyhoot...The first time we patronized this establishment our food was less than we expected both in quality and was overpriced. So, we tried this place again thinking that our first visit was just a mediocre semi bad day. Unfortunately...the food was not palatable. The chicken was not completely done and you can take my word based on personal experience that if you eat chicken that is not completely baked or boiled or whatever you will get sick. Also...my cobbler was average at best and between 2 of us we still left half the desert uneaten. Oh well. At best this place is hit or miss and not much to write home about.
