| - Not all Sprouts are created equal. I repeat, not all Sprouts are created equal. If you can avoid this location, do so. Visit a neighboring east side location if you can... Val Vista Rd., Queen Creek Rd., Ocotillo... you will not miss anything here. Perhaps because it is an older store, these challenges have existed the last few times I've visited:
* Out of stock items.
Particularly those on special will be low or completely missing. This has happened first thing in the AM, midday and evening. I can't seem to find their restocking hour to plan a visit accordingly. Which leaves me to wonder why the next issue exists so brusquely ...
* Restocking staff always in the way.
Whether they are rolling their carts around, parked several crates in front of a whole section where you can't get in to grab a piece of produce, or rushing past you as if the fire alarm just went off and you're their obstacle towards living another breath of fresh air....they are everywhere. A few of them do excuse themselves or apologize. Most, however, roll their eyes and/or give you that disapproving old schoolmarm glare which possesses you (the customer) to apologize profusely to them (the business) for getting in their way while trying to purchase their products. Sprouts aisles are never the roomiest and you are bound to run into this at all locations. But at least at other stores they make an effort to leave room for the customer and actually smile and acknowledge the customers. Imagine that! Some even ask if they can help you with anything. Not. Here.
* Shortage of baggers.
When I buy so much produce and coconut oil popcorn that my cart is wobbling (don't judge me), it is always nice to have someone bag my groceries and place them in my cart while I'm unloading and making sure the cashier rings up 5 bags of popcorn and not 6 (I asked you not to judge, it's organic dangit!). But when I must step aside to bag my own groceries, strategically place them in my cart so my melons aren't crushing my buns (easy!), all while the cashier is rolling her eyes and raising her voice with my total, 'That's $187.42, m'aam. M'aam!?' 'Uh, excuse me Sharon, some help with these bags of popcorn would be nice. Oh, no? Ok, well then you will have to wait a second, Sharon.'
In summary....
Aside from bad service and lack of products, this store will do if you are in need of a quick Sprouts fix and do not have the time to drive a little further.
Stay healthy, eat clean, and SMILE!
