Horrible design and customer care. We had Shutterz install shutters on several windows and an arch about 8 years ago. We've never been able to wash the inside of the window with the arch because there is no way to get behind the louvres. I emailed twice and received no response so I called. Still no response. Finally, I drove to their showroom where the lady in the showroom told me that the center louvre should be spring loaded to allow for it and the ones immediately adjacent to be removed. I went home and tried it without success. None of the louvres have any give in their placement indicating that there is a spring-loaded pin. I called again and left a message but, again, received no reply. I drove over to the showroom a second time and spoke to Wes who told me that it was possible that my arch was constructed without the pin system to allow for cleaning. If I wanted to clean the window I would have to remove the entire frame from the wall, clean the window, and then have it reinstalled. He said that he would ask one of installers to do it as a side job because it would be cheaper for me that way. Really? Their design doesn't allow for cleaning? I have to hire someone to come out, cut the caulking around the frame, remove the entire thing from the wall, and then have it reinstalled? This will no doubt involve my having to touch up the paint, as well. I honestly recommend going with ANY company other than Shutterz.
