  • $13 rental ends up costing over $30 because evidently a the day rental price quoted is less than half of the actual costs. Dollar and Hertz will always try to get you to say yes to overpriced totally unneeded and often refused insurance that costs an additional $30- $40 per day. FYI the insurance charges are hidden on the back of the second page under cryptic 3-letter abbreviations, so that you can easily miss it if they charge you for it. FYI Dollar is owned by Hertz. Anyhow over 100 1-star reviews means Dollar is criminally bad. It is very easy to contact the Attorney General and the BBB if you need to get a refund for overcharges. And is really the easiest way to get your money back. There are so many complaints filed with the state against Hertz and Dollar that you get your money back fast. Do not expect any help from Dollar.
