  • What can I say... I actually went through the trouble to CREATE an account to let people know how awful this place is. It all started with the one hour lineup out front, but seeing as how this was Halloween weekend, I wasn't that surprised and willing to compromise. When we got to the front gate, we went through the metal detectors, and ended up getting pulled aside for a bullet belt. After talking with the head of security for a good forty minutes they (get this) called the cops. Yes. They called the cops. Over....a...belt. Once the cops showed up that was another twenty minutes of talking, and they ended up confiscating the belt (which I may add costs about 100$). This left us feeling completely discriminated against. So, let's go over this again. 1 hour line, plus 1 hour of getting robbed by the front gate, we finally got in, understandably upset, but we tried to make SOMETHING positive out of the day. Once we got inside.. we quickly realized half the rides had either been shut down, or going through repairs. When asking customer service why so many rides were shut down, they replied with "there aren't enough employees to run them". Frustrated, we asked to talk to management, which then fully admitted that the park had gone to hell and was terribly managed since six flags bought them out. What makes me sad was this day was supposed to be a fun day, laronde is somewhere where people find happiness, and spend some quality time with friends and family, and this was completely ruined for us. Needless to say, I will NEVER be returning to Laronde. This place was not what I remember it being, and if I have ANY advice for anyone who wants to go here, I would say steer clear unless you want to be harassed by their security team.
