| - This review is for the Corporate Office. I purchase RV INSURANCE 2 years ago. Recently, it came up for renewal and I noticed a $60 increase for the 16ft travel trailer single axel. I flipped the back page of the policy and noted I was dinged as having an " At fault accident" last year. This accident was NOT AT FAULT as determined by my CAR INSURANCE PROVIDER,as well as,the police officer at the scene. I called my progressive agency and was immediately treated "at fault." I was just about ready to go to the CALIFORNIA DMV & police department thinking one of them must have logged in this no fault accident to my credit. I called the reporting agency LEXIS NEXIS who Progressive states is their reporting company to ask for a print out. A few day later I get a credit report....... Ah? I didn't want this but, "Thank you, I think" I call LexisNexis again for the driving report and. LOW & BEHOLD ..... No at fault car accident to my credit. A few day later, I received my bill for the 2nd premium with Progressive on the RV, after I had already cancelled the policy in writing & verbally, with my agent.
Today I called Progressives 800 number to notify them again I have cancelled the policy and have s new provider ( paid in full) for my RV INSURANCE which is the same provider of my car insurance. Of course, " Rashid" asked me WHY I am cancelling and I basically, go in to all of the above explanation... I'm "not AT FAULT" says the POLICE REPORT, my car insurance and most likely the DMV. "Rashid" proceeded to explain to me that: Progressive labels you IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA AT FAULT, if the accident yields more than $1000. First of all, Progressive was never my car insurance, they never paid out, my car insurance gave me back my deductible after investigation and even progressives Reporting agency doesn't have that info... So who decided I was "AT FAULT?" Progressive- then they increased my RV RATE. So I dumped them and saved $60/year! "Rashid" was also condescending say," well I'm not going to explain it to you again . You are not listening. I replied," yea, I know the feeling" he had the nerve to boast, " we are a Fortune 500 company" we won't be if we conducted ourselves differently. WOW! Next, letter to the California Insurance Commissioner.
