  • I want to give them a quick shout-out because we really do enjoy this little place. Our server yesterday was laid back but a pro and he gave us a mini-Japanese lesson and couple of laughs. It is notable - the difference that good service can make. Their Happy Hour (HH) is probably one of the best we've tried - given the price point and the variety of selection. Not only that - the regular menu prices are below what you'd pay many other places and the food is just as good if not even better due to the creativity of the chefs. We really enjoyed the Ono nigiri - it's so fresh, buttery and delicious. The rolls we had this time were the classic rainbow ($8) currently on HH and the Climax. ($12 never HH) and both are worth an "order again." They have the laminated, spiral-bound type of menu here (with photos and descriptions) which makes ordering that much more enjoyable. They have the usual other offerings of udons, full range of appetizers, etc. Their strip mall location is the reason that this place falls off my radar, but I'm making the effort to write 'em up because I want to remember to visit more often. I don't want to be saying "Ono! I forgot."
