  • Had to update my review because we had such a great time here last night! Due to our lack of ability to ever plan anything in advance we walked in at about 9pm on a Friday without a Resi and got told there would be a wait for a table. Not surprised! So we parked at the bar and enjoyed a Whiskey & a Pinot Grigio & the Sea Salt Edamame. But we ended up having so much fun gabbing w Leigh the bartender that we decided to just hang there for dinner and are so glad we did! Her knowledge of Bourbons so impressed my Man that he had 4 drinks and we ended up "stumbling" out of there at closing about 3 hours later! So fun!!! And then there was also the Sushi, the freshly grated Wasabi and the open kitchen show which is great entertainment! Started w Jalepeno laden Yellow Tail Sashimi that had an awesome side Salad w Pickled Red Onions (fantastic crunch). Then enjoyed the Crispy Squid w Spicy Aioli, the Monkfish Tataki w crunchy Pea Purée, the Scallop Skewers w Lemon Aioli, the Farm Salad w added Grilled Octopus (great suggestion by Leigh!) and finished w the Himachi Serrano Chili Roll as our dessert! We wish you would come to Orange County already so we could bring each and every one of our Sushi loving friends to your epic establishment!!! Fans of Roka Akor for life!
