| - I took a shot in the dark with this location after having a bad experience at the Parma one on snow road (rude staff, communicated wrong information to me, so wasted a morning off driving out for no reason).
Anyways, I came on a Saturday morning to get my Illinois drivers license changed to Ohio. Assuming it would be a lengthy process filled with a lot of waiting around, I came fully prepared to dedicate most of my morning. I was ridiculously impressed by how efficient, fast, and friendly everyone I encountered was. I was in and out and well on my way, new license in hand, in less than 30 minutes!! SO impressive. It would have actually been faster if I hadn't waited in the wrong line when i first got there. Everything is pretty well labeled, but it doesn't necessarily say that if you're transferring a license to get your vision test with the state troopers first. That would be my only suggestion - to make that more clear.
They even had a guy directing traffic in the parking lot- not really necessary that morning - in my opinion, but I'm sure if it gets really busy, it's helpful.
Also, they only take cash or check, so be sure you're prepared.

If you have an active license in another state and you're confused about what you're doing - visit this location (or Parma, or any of the state trooper locations) Tuesday-Saturday - bring your license, passport or birth cert, and proof of address in ohio if that isn't on those documents and be prepared to take a vision test and pay $23 cash/check. No written test if your license is active elsewhere. Yay.
