I visited this store yesterday. Overall the store is bright and clean and there is a wide selection of produce and other groceries. I especially like the range of gluten free food on sale. However, there was a short young lady giving samples of freshly grilled mahi mahi. She appeared to work for the store and not an outside vendor because I watched her interact with Whole Foods staff. I asked the young lady who was handing out the mahi mahi if it was gluten free. Her exasperated response was "It's fish!" I said "what about the sauce it's cooked in?" The young lady took a minute to read the ingredients on the bottle of the serving table, before handing me another bottle saying "here. Do you want to look too?" It took me 30 seconds to scan the ingredients and determine the sauce she was using was gluten free. The exchange exposed the poor customer service in this store. It's great to have pleasant check out staff, but all the staff need to be brought up to the same excellent customer service training as the staff at the Yorkville store.
