I rarely give reviews. But this needed to be stated. I went in for a check up. I was told I needed two crowns, a root canal, and I had a fracture that had developed a cavity and that tooth needed EXTRACTION. I also needed a periodontal cleaning. I wasn't numbed enough for the cleaning. I told her I could feel everything and she ignored me at first and then told me it was because I was inflamed. I've never tasted novicane when getting shots before, this time I did. I wonder if she even got any in me. I spent the last 20 minutes of the procedure crying in pain. She did nothing.
I got the X-rays and sent them to a friend who's a dentist out of state. He told me to seek another opinion. I went to another dentist who said I needed one crown, a root canal, and a filling. After she was done I told her about the extraction. She re-examined the tooth and said there was nothing wrong with it. Perfectly healthy. She relooked at the X-rays and agreed with my friend that the doctor had diagnosed root placement/overlap as a fracture. In addition she said it looked like 1/2 my periodontal cleaning had been rushed through. Apparently rather than solve the problem she hurried through my crying.
HE WAS INSISTING ON REMOVING A PERFECTLY HEALTHY TOOTH!!!!!! Thank goodness I had another dentist look at my X-rays and mouth.
