  • Wow. What an amazing experience. I was terrified to get a standard tube MRI and called my insurance company to see what options I had for a stand-up MRI. They provided American Dynamic Imaging so I called so set up an appointment. The woman who answered totally respected my claustrophobia and talked to me about the machine. I was able to get a same day appointment and went in for my brain scan. I won't lie, I was terrified. The tech was awesome and let me choose what channel I wanted to watch on the tv. My mom was able to sit in the room while I was scanned and I could clearly see the tech on the other side of the glass. He came on the microphone after each scan to tell me how long the next scan was going to be. You don't feel anything and it was an easy exam. What an awesome place! Highly recommended!! Also, just so you know, MRI contrast is not the same as CT contrast and you will not feel any flushing like you do with iodized contrast.
