  • 3.5 stars in my book If you starved yourself all day long because you knew this was on the agenda, prepare to show up and wait a good hour+. We happened to show up during the Blue Plate Special Senior Citizen Hour and only had to wait about 20 minutes. By the time we left, the line was wrapped around the corner and down the hall. $54/person isn't too bad at all. We had reservations at CUT but after my less than stellar performance with the dice in my hand, we had to rethink the situation to save a few shekels. Such is life in Vegas. Make sure you packed your bottle of Patience because it's a real bleep show at times. See, tourists feel compelled to get their moneys worth. Ya know that over the top camera with the telephoto lens? Cost a pretty penny I'm sure, but it doesn't belong at a buffet. However, these folks clearly disagree because at least 4 times, as I was attempting to get my grub on, these camera carrying peeps were in full blown photo shoot mode. I get it, the buffet looks good. Relax slugger. Honestly? What do you do with those photos once you get them developed in your dark room? Food: Overall 4 star food experience indeed. Alaskan crab legs were the best I've ever tried, the prime rib was a quality slab of beef, despite the fatty piece I received. Wide selection of just better than supermarket sushi, which I didn't have the guts to try. Very nice selection of Asian options. My faves include: crispy duck, Korean BBQ spareribs. Dim sum options didn't look all that great, but the dumplings tasted pretty darn good. Dessert: Beyond incredible selection and every single item I tried was delicious! Fresh gelato was excellent. They even had tiny waffle bowls dipped in chocolate, which were hidden on top of the counter. In closing, I would say that this dining experience was pretty good. I will say that all the chefs were working very hard and doing their best to provide food quickly and that's a huge plus in my book. I'd definitely visit them again, but if I have better luck at the craps table, I am headed to CUT instead.
