  • If you're looking for bed side manner and feeling like a patient who matters, this is NOT the place to go. It is sad to say that I will NOT be returning to this office on Blue Diamond. This was the most HORRIFIC experience I have ever had at the dentist. From the time I entered the office to the time I left, even during my post op I felt nothing less than cattle. I had an appointment at 4:30 pm on a Friday and then was called the day of and told that their schedule had an error and if I wanted to have my tooth extracted that day, they could only do it if I was able to make it in by 3:30pm. The first tech that prepared me for the tooth extraction was busy watching the T.V. and socializing with the other employees. Dr. Gilo then came into the room and proceeded to inject the nova cane 6 times with NO topical numbing. Left for about 10 minutes and returned, asked me if I was numb and injected me another 6 times and proceeded with the extraction. The tech that was there to assist him with suctioning and rinsing stabbed me on the lips and gums several times. My mouth was locally numbed only where my wisdom tooth was located and I could feel everything happening at the front of my mouth. After about 20 minutes of yanking at my face, pinching my lips with tools and getting stabbed in the lips the tooth was extracted. Dr. Gilo then proceeded to nonchalantly tell me that they had to crack my jaw bone slightly to remove the tooth. I was brushed off like they just couldn't wait to be done with me. The receptionist then told me, because they had to crack my bone that I would be charged more and that they couldn't call in my prescription and that I would have to take it there myself because it is a narcotic. I was told to come back exactly a week from the date and hesitantly scheduled a post op appointment at 5pm. The day of the post op I received ANOTHER phone call. The receptionist wanted to know if I could come in earlier AGAIN. They wanted to close the office early. At this appointment a tech came in, who could barely speak any English tried to take an x-ray of my mouth. I refused the x-ray and talked to another tech. The x-ray could have torn my incision and caused more pain. They told me he was new and that he 'jumped the gun'. Dr. Gilo came in yanked my jaw down and took a look inside my mouth, touching the incision and my gums as I winced in pain. He said that everything is fine, just continue to rinse and finish my antibiotics and left. Nothing was ever communicated or said to prepare me for anything. Every experience was shocking and horrific. This place is horrible and I would not recommend it to anyone.
