  • GDS is a shady company. The motor broke after about 10 months. They sold me a warranty when I purchased the GD motor. 10yrs parts. 1yr labor. When I called to get service they told me that it would be free if was the motor. The man showed up and said it would be $200. I showed him the paper he said that he works on commission and he can't do it for free. I called GDS and they would not stand behind the warranty and told me to bad. $96.00 service fee. After 1hr of arguing with the company the service guy said he would fix it for $100. He told me about how bad this company is and that he was tired of arguing with customers over warranty issues. For the same amount I could have gone to Home Depot and bought a name brand. $25 for there remote control.
