  • I have been dying to try this restaurant for a while, hearing all About their special spaghetti really had me hyped. Of course as soon as I got a reason for a celebration I choose Scarpetta. It was honestly underwhelming. I was expecting the food to be out of this world but unfortunately it was lacking in flavors. I got their butternut squash soup with lobster to start with and found the flavors to be very odd paired together. They were not complimentary to each other. We also got a steak which was good. Short rib pasta was great as well. Although very greasy. The service was great as expected from a 5 star rated restaurant. I liked the atmosphere. It was modern and seductive. Sadly, with so many Italian restaurants in town Scarpetta will not be the first on my list to visit.
