IT takes a lot to get me to stop and write a review on bad companies. The main reason I would write a review is to promote a good company or at least try to get the company and public to recognize bad business practices.
So Rick "The Rug" Duran meets my wife over at our fathers house who just passed away and now we have to remodel. My wife said he was nice and explained things to her. He measures it out and hands her a card with a price on the back: $2997.00. The whole house is 806 sq. ft. and the carpeted area had to be 700 at most. No furniture. That is $4.28 a SQUARE FOOT!!!! I'm not sure where they get their prices or material, but that is ridiculous. He gave the BS line of we have extra carpet that we can give deals on.
I wouldn't have an issue if this were a good quote and he didn't write it on the back of a card. I called him and asked when we were getting the estimate. He said they don't give written estimates. He said that's company policy. So a number/price on the back of a business card is company policy?????
Will they tear out old?
Will they replace broken tack strips?
Warrantee information
Padding options?
All things you need to know and see written down before you plop down Three Grand.
Now we had these people out to do our house 3 years ago and the salesman was nice and gave a great deal, sat and talked for close to an hour. GUESS what we paid, $3000.00 for twice as much. Is this number the patent rate for quick sale. Can they not be bothered to itemize the service they will be providing?
Shame on Express Flooring for creating an atmosphere of high pressure with salespeople that don't care enough to give written estimates.
Look for the boiler plate response below, typical
