I am disappointed in my experience with Linder Dermatology. While my appointment with Dr. Haley was perfectly fine, if you do not have insurance that covers pricey acne treatments, do not expect this office to help you find something that you can afford. Dr. Haley prescribed two acne treatments that my insurance would not cover. In an attempt to get me the prescriptions, the office decided to send them to a 'remote' pharmacy. I felt uncomfortable using the remote service, especially after calling the pharmacy and having them report that they did not have an exact amount established for billing. I declined giving them my credit card information over the phone to be charged an unspecified amount. After this experience, I called Linder Dermatology, hoping that Dr. Haley would be able to prescribe alternatives that would be covered by my insurance and would not cost hundreds of dollars out of pocket. Although I was promised a call back by the receptionist, it is has been three weeks and I have heard nothing. I understand that the doctor wanted to prescribe what she thought was the apex of acne treatments. However, I would have appreciated a little more willingness to work within my insurance limitations (a solution that did not involve a shady virtual pharmacy would have been appreciated).
