My daughter has been going here for a year and a half. This is her first dental office and, if I have anything to do with it, it will be her only dental office.
PROS: The office staff, particularly Holly, is incredibly warm and sweet with the children. Even when I am getting work done next door, she watches my daughter over on the kids' side!
They have a few televisions in their waiting room, which they play current kids movies on. They also have an old fashioned video game inside the kids' area, lots of toys and other things to occupy the kids.
They even have a separate movie room with comfy bean bags and pillow pets for kids who are waiting for one reason or another.
The dental assistants and the dentist (now "Dr. Griff" though previously "Dr. David") are GREAT with children. My 4 year old got her xrays done for the first time with no fuss at all thanks to Yanni (sp?). Dr. Griff is thorough and is very patient with the little ones!
At the end of their visit, patients get to pick out a prize from the prize box. This is a definite plus; it gets the kids to behave because they're told about the prize in advance.
CONS: They have a toy vending machine in the waiting room. It's only a quarter, but my not-normally-spoiled kid is pretty adamant that she "deserves" a prize after being at the dentist (even though she just picked out a snake or a whatever in the dentist's prize box). Of course, I cave to make our exit easier. I know... a bit of bad parenting... but my life is all the better for spending a quarter on a "squishy."
I am VERY pleased with Every Kid's Dentist. You should try them out! :)
