| - They seriously need to work on their customer service. Jeff was my membership advisor. He was nice at first, but when I expressed my hesitance on signing a one year contract, became very pushy and rude. He emailed me insinuating that I must not be serious about fitness goals if I have doubts about the term length contract, and telling me I shouldn't even look for a gym if I don't want to commit long term, that "even new moms" find time for the gym.
He also stated in his email that "not being committed has led you to this point," and the implication's pretty clear there as well. Not sure if making people feel like crap about themselves is the company sanctioned way to get you to commit to a year of $200/month fees, but I take huge issue with it.
The classes (I've been to TRX max and the muse) are quite mediocre, relatively crowded, and nothing special. The size of the classes means you really don't get as much one on one attention, and I know that's not the point, but I'm also not sure what's particularly unique or valuable about the classes that I can't find doing my own circuit training (for TRX max) or watching youtube videos (for the muse). But this is just my personal opinion! I encourage you to try a class out to make the decision for yourself, just try to stick it to the staff if they try to make you feel uncomfortable about your body or your health.
