She Crab Soup- 5 out of 5 starfish
The she crab soup was loaded with meat, topped gracefully with fish eggs, and bursting with flavor. Perfect appetizer, we couldn't wait to see what would come out of the kitchen next.
Marlin with Pesto Crust- 5 out of 5 starfish
I was living on the edge when I ordered this exotic, new fish, and I am very pleased with my life choice. The marlin was cooked well, cut easily with the fork. The pesto crust and lime aioli topped this entree off.
Hanger Steak- 5 out of 5 starfish
The waitress told us that the hanger steak is a top notch shoulder cut, and top notch it was. The steak was sliced and spread over oyster mushroom ragout. It tasted like heaven on a platter. The meat cut with ease and was so juicy and flavorful. And the mushrooms were great too. (Also made for great leftovers the next day.)
Key Lime Pie- 4 out of 5 starfish
Very classic key lime pie in generous portions. Spot on graham cracker crust and refreshing whipped topping.
Chocolate Pecan Tart- 3 out of 5 starfish
Very rich. Intense chocolate top protecting a gooey pecan goodness inside. The graham cracker crust was lined with a chocolate layer and very difficult to break through (although a lack of upper body strength may be attributing to the success of eating the dessert).
Nautical theme set the mood. There was a boat right inside. The bar wall was colorfully designed and decorated with wine bottles. Quite lovely and date night material.
