  • No wonder this place is considered one of the best in the northern hemisphere. We had a PHENOMENAL lunch, I believe we will think about it for years to come. We were a group of 30, and we received very special attention, our waiters were marvelous and extremely professional, the food was to die for!! We had a 4-course meal, but before all the food extravaganza started we had delicious amuse-bouche to open up our appetite. We had very thinly sliced cured meat, we had munched on truffle pop corn (??), and we got a bite of a macaron like thin Parmesan crisps sandwich filled with goat cheese. We then were presented with a tray full of delicious breads: herbs, baguette and olive roll. I wanted one of each, of course! Haha they were warm and all of them felt straight like out of the bakery's oven! The best part of the bread was the choice of butter we were offered to pair it with. Not kidding! This is the first time I have ever seen this, 3 types of butter, very delicately presented: fluffy sweet rose button butter, elderflower butter, and see weed crusted butter. Omg. After all that, we were given an espresso cup with a lobster bisque composition that had layers after layers of flavors. It just kept on getting better. Have I said omg?! Small, but just enough. Hmmmmm. Our second course was a choice of a pea gazpacho with shrimp or a tartar topped with duck bacon. Both dishes were fabulous, full of elegance, with gorgeous decorations, textures and colors. For our third course, we were given a choice between a beef with potatoes, scallops with a green risotto, or a Cornish hen with asparagus. My descriptions here are giving ZERO justice to the amazingness brought up to us. I got to try the hen and the scallops and it was orgasmic. The hen was so juicy and perfectly flavored, with a thinly crispy skin. Hmmm. The scallops were the best I had ever had. Super fresh, perfectly grilled, delicate under the teeth. Just perfect. And then we had dessert. But it came with a farandole of sweet treats!!! There was a gorgeous cotton candy tree with meringue pebbles and basketful of fresh (warm) Madeleines. The treats were exquisite! The actual dessert was made of layers of delicacies: crumbles, blueberries, some sort of whipped cream, gelato and a breakable sugar top. The meal was exquisite, the service impeccable and the whole thing a true adventure for all the senses!
