| - Being a fan of the self-serve car wash in a city with hardly any in sight makes me a huge fan of Dilworth Car Wash. I drive a Subaru, so the more mud on the tires the better, but brake dust, pine sap, and foggy/milky windshields are just obnoxious. Hence, the reason I decided to visit this spot for a scrub down of the ol' subby.
It's a little tight over there, so squeezing in past all of the cars at the gas station and detailing area can be a bit difficult. The drive-thru portion of the wash also tends to get pretty busy throughout the day (at almost every hour of the day, too) and can take some time when all of the cars ahead of you choose the premium wash/rinse. I, for one, chose the simple wash with the most basic of basics for everything. Just get in, wash 'er down, and blow it dry. I can do all of the dirty work myself. For $8, I'm a fan.
I can't really comment too much on any of the other service, but I will say that they seem to run a pretty efficient operation. There seems to be staff moving in and out of every building, doing something at all times. Always a good sign.
I'll definitely head back when I need the exterior of the car cleaned for sure. For everything else, I'm still a do-it-myself kinda guy.
