| - My friend and I dropped into Greens and Proteins for a post-work out second breakfast of a "healthier" fare.
The Southwest Tofu & Chorizo Burrito caught my eye; the idea sounded interesting, and so did its description: scrambled tofu and soy chorizo, tomatoes, cilantro, and Anaheim chilies, wrapped in a spinach tortilla. A side of tofu home fries originally comes with this, but you can replace that with another side listed on their menu. Also, you can choose to sub the tortilla with lettuce. With that being said, the burrito only looks good on paper. In this case, I would've preferred actual meat than the tofu because of the spices and ingredients.
One cool thing to mention about this place is that the calories for each of the menu items -- excluding breakfast -- are listed. Prices for foods seem reasonable, much more reasonable than other "healthy" eateries by my gym. They do make smoothies and juices here, but I think $7.50 for a smoothie is too much, even with a Yelp check-in for $1.00 off.
