| - My husband and I came here for impromptu brunch a few Sundays ago. It was later in the day around 1ish so it wasn't very crowded, however we got to sit next a meeting of the backwards hat club. Sorry, a personal pet peeve I HATE IT when men wear baseball hats in restaurants. Sure, yeah it was a Sunday brunch and I'm sure they partied hard the night before and it's not like Social is a "fancy schmany" place, but come one guys, take a freakin shower and comb your hair.
Okay, personal rant over. Anyway, my husband(who was NOT wearing a hat) ordered the corned beef hash and eggs and we were both impressed with that dish. I was lame and got a salad, but it was a well-sized portion and came with pickled eggs(!!!) which I love and was very pleasantly surprised by. I also ordered a virgin bloodie as I am currently expectin g and unfortunately we got charged the full price for a Bloody Mary and alcohol tax even though it didn't have any vodka and my husband just got coffee. We didn't make a big deal about it at the time, tax was only 28 cents. But, in future will definitely ask/follow-up on being charged for booze here and at other locations. Lesson learned.
I'm only giving this 3 starts for now, am interested in coming back for dinner and taking advantage of their on-tap beer selection once I have this baby.
