I would like to announce that I recently spent several days in Las Vegas, during which time I consumed no alcohol and made aquaintances with *zero* one-armed bandits. That's right. No gambling. No drinking. For the first time ever, I flew out of LV feeling *healthier* than when I had come, sans hangover and tobacco smoke tainted clothing.
After spending several days in this park, I don't think I can ever come back to Las Vegas and *not* come here. Approximately 20 minutes from the strip, the convenience factor cannot be overlooked. The park is full of stunning hikes among spectacular red and white sandstone structures, where you'll find desert marvels in the adorable patches of desert flowers, surprising nooks of natural water tanks, and ponderosa pines springing out of the desert. All in all, I'd call this a jackpot!
Red Rock Canyon. Spend less ($5 entrance fee). Win big.
