| - Cost
This place is a bit expensive. A one bed one bath on the first floor is over 1300 dollars. That said, that includes all utilities, Internet and cable. Considering that, it is not outrageous as far as I am concerned.
Amenities
It has all the things you expect from a higher cost apartment complex. Gym, pool, basketball hoop on the roof, gated parking (when it works), security doors (when they work).
The gym is probably the best apartment complex gym I have seen. You could cancel your LA Fitness plan living here if you aren't too into the gym.
The parking is subpar, but not the worst ever.
The appliances in the apartments are fine. All electric. Coil heating stoves. Meh.
The storage in these apartments is abysmal. If you like to cook a lot, prepare to buy extra storage.
They do offer you a decent internet package, but be leary if you need the internet for work at all. Since it is included, everyone has the same service in the building and at peak hours it runs very poorly. Cox really needs to be onsite to work out some kinks.
Maintenance
I believe that the maintenance staff here does the best they can do to keep up with everything, but I have to assume they are severely understaffed for as many people that live here. On top of that, there isn't a set way to get a ticket placed. Sometimes you have to go to the office and sometimes you have to place them online. If something bad happens over the weekend, be prepared to wait till Monday for it to be addressed if you place your ticket online.
When it comes to trash, the system here needs to be looked at again. The trash drop spot on the main floor is, pardon my french, a fucking joke. The people that live here are slobs and just chuck the trash into the room instead of placing it through the chute. The higher floors may not have this issue but it is disgusting on the first floor.
Lastly, the security doors and gate are constantly in disrepair. I recently found out that it is an older system and no one will work on it so they have to bandaid repair it every time. This is great because these things are supposed to keep bike thieves out and people from snooping through your cars.
Location
This complex is located in a very convenient spot if you are an ASU student or happen to work around ASU. The light rail is right there to service your school and mill ave needs. That said, that comes with drawbacks for some.
College students are all over this place. They are also loud.
That light rail sure gets loud at 11PM too. Not to mention that a fire station and a police hub is less then a block away. There will be lots of sirens.
Front Office
They, for the most part have been excellent. There is one bad apple there that is fairly new. The rent has been going up pretty drastically so be aware that if you move in on a special, it might just be for one lease.
Overall
It is not a bad place, it just isnt meant for some people. It is loud, the security is really just the illusion of security and you are going to probably over pay for the square footage. Only suggest to people going to ASU.
