  • Well, where to begin. The place isn't anything fancy. That's probably a major understatement. If you are looking for ambience this isn't it. However, it was full of people from as diverse of cultures as possible for somewhere this small. Also, nobody is any hurry here which feels like a southeastern thing. So why five stars then? Well, I found this place on Yelp and was aware of all of the above. People still raved about the food! I ordered the fried chicken meal with mixed greens and red beans and rice. Wow! I had no idea fried chicken could taste like this. Super crispy and flavorful breading and very moist chicken. The highlight of the meal may have been the mixed greens. They were fantastic. Got a peach cobbler for the wife on the way out. Did it all for $20 including tip. Won't miss this place when back in Phoenix! Matty approved!
