This is a bar that has gone all out with the tikki theme and has delicious cocktails. The only fault with it is that the price does not match the value.
We went the day after they opened and had amazingly attentive staff and delicious food. The wagyu beef was a particular favorite of mine, and I didn't care for the Hawaiian black sea salt edamame. We also ordered a variety of their cocktails between us, and some were better than others. The objection I had to this night was that after an extravagant tab we were neither full nor buzzed.
We returned a couple months later already having eaten to try the cocktails again. In particular we wanted to splurge on the scorpion bowl, but we had to have the baby bowl (not their fault as NC has laws about how much liquor can be served to two people at once). We would also have ordered the wagyu beef again (because it was totally amazing!) but we didn't see it on the menu. The mini bowl was a complete let down, with a lot of froth on the top and not a lot of liquid. For $32 for the one shared drink we were definitely not impressed.
