I hit Geno's on Sunday afternoon for a late lunch...it was a toss up between this and Teakwood, but I had just seen Geno's the other day and checked the reviews on Yelp before deciding to go for it.
The place is small, but they have a couple of outdoor tables (YAY!), the staff who greeted me were pleasant, and the place was clean. Now on to the important stuff...the cheesesteak!
I ordered the pepper philly and didn't change a thing...along with an order of fries (hey - ran five miles that morning...I deserved 'em!). Loved the cheesesteak! The bread was soft and fresh, the meat was delish, and the variety of peppers in the sandwich gave it a little bit of tang...although I could've done with a little of heat. ;) Onions were in there, but not overwhelming. I added a little bit of their special sauce, but I couldn't really taste it. The fries were awesome! Crispy and golden...just the way I like 'em (I'm not a fan of the in and out variety). I ordered the smaller sized sub and an order of fries and def couldn't finish the fries if I finished the cheesesteak.
I'll be back and am looking forward to trying some of the other varieties of cheesesteaks! Tasty!
