I finally have the chance to go to this trendy hip spot in the neighborhood. Heard a lot of cool things like nice decor, good food etc. so was very excited. But excitement quickly turned into disappointment.
I went against my Yelp instincts and ordered something that didn't get a lot of reviews - a Waygu burger. It's one of those basic things that any restaurant should master but I was in for a major disappointment. Medium rare turned out to be well done; bacon jam... where's the bacon jam?; the burger was bland and tasteless. As for the service, I had to ask for ketchup three times before finally getting it 15 mins later. And we waited for 30+ min for our meal to arrive. Nice.
Others ordered a chicken sandwich which they said was good (it is also highly rated on Yelp).
Two lessons learned: (1) always trust Yelp for food recommendations; (2) don't order a burger here.
