  • My husband (then boyfriend) found Shampoo Ink one day walking home from work. He made an appt for me, and sent me in. Sounds weird, except my hair is crazy curly, very long, and takes a considerable amount of time to cut/color so typically I just drag my feet (for months) before going somewhere. My first appointment was 4 years ago. I have been going to see Abel ever since. From the first time I saw him to my most recent (just yesterday), Abel has done an incredible job cutting and coloring my hair. He is a wonderful stylist. It doesn't phase him that my hair takes 5 hours to do; and if I don't straighten my hair prior we are in for a REALLY long night. This is not the reason I write this review though. Abel is one of the most hardworking people I have ever met. No is not in his vocabulary. He hustles and mentors and advises all while keeping a smile on his face. Prior, I had never been loyal to a stylist, and yet at 31, I can't imagine ever going anywhere else. In an industry that can be hot-headed and reactive, Abel is calming and even. If you read this far, make an appointment. If you can't get it with him, ask for someone else there-as I know they are all up to the task.
