| - I purchased my 2011 GMC Acadia from Atlas Automotive in Jan 2016. At that time I left a "not so great" review, because when I picked the car up it was very dirty inside & so low on fuel, the bell started to ding as i pulled out of the estsblishment.
Just as important as a "not so great" review, is the importance of a "good" review as well.....
The car has been great, I love this car, it is mechanically sound & has always been very dependable. My favorite feature is being able to start my car from inside my house, the air is cooling the car down or the heat is warming it up & all this before i ever get into the vehicle. I Took a trip to iowa last aug. & never had a bit of trouble, it ran great through the high temperatures of summer, having the split transmission (auto/manual) made climbing mountains a breeze & handled extremely well through a couple of severe thunderstorms I went through while on this trip.
I do want to add that I was treated very well by everyone when i went in looking to purchase a vehicle from Atlas.
A couple of weeks ago, just after Xmas & right before New Years, my "check engine" light came on. I called & was given an appt. to bring it in. Ironically it was on my 2 yr. Anniversary of when i purchased the car. Still I'm not complaining, nor do i plan to. Its a machine, parts wear out & need replaced. Its a reality & should be expected to happen sooner or later. New or Used, it happens eventually. A couple of hours after dropping off the car to them, Paul called with a diagnosis of the problem & all the details.
Fortunately, I did take out the maintenance insurance at the time i purchased the vehicle, the package i took (the estate plan) covered just about anything that could go wrong. They needed to keep the car a couple of days i was told & i did add on an oil change & tire rotation on top of it.
Paul kept me up to date on the progress, which i appreciated very much. On the second day, I called & spoke with one of the mechanics, he was very nice & polite, answered all my questions & he assured me it would be ready before they closed that day at 5 & it was, including the add ons i requested.
Id like to Thank You Paul & your knowledgeable & most professional crew of mechanics. Know that i appreciate the care & service I received from all involved & most importantly the care my "baby" received. You guys did a great job. Whether or not the repairs you did had anything to do with it, it seems to have more power than before. Gotta Love that. I'm Thoroughly satisfied through the whole ordeal, from start to finish!
Thankfully, the mechanical insurance i purchased covered everything except the tire rotation, for that there is a 15.00 charge, I believe it to be. Paul wouldn't even charge me for that because they had to remove my tires at some point during the repair anyway. Doing something like that shows you are appreciated & your business is important to them, they want you to return. Might be no big deal to some of you, but it sure is to me. Such great customer service, something that is not practiced much today, I thought it was awful nice of him & am most appreciative.
So.......
What I thought was a bad way to end 2017, turned out being a good start to the New Year.
I wish You All a Healthy & Prosperous New Year! With Much Thanks.
