  • So this was pretty disappointing. Our first night we were awoke by maintenance pounding on our door at 11:30 pm saying there was in issue with the room below us and they needed to come in and check for possible water damage in our room. I was totally freaked out. As a woman with three young children and no for warning I wasn't about to let a stranger in the room. It took a call from me to security to verify the validity of the action. Eventually I did allow him in but not before I was terrified that someone was trying to break in. They competed us the resort fee, wow. That's the best they could do. The room was old and it showed its years of wear. The sun doesn't set until around 9pm. The pool closes at 7pm ???? What is that all about? Not just that but on Monday when we arrived all three pools were open, then the next day only two pools were open and the largest of the three was permanently closed for the week because it wasn't officially summer. My god, it's 95 degrees outside - this was ridiculous. All hotel guest crammed into two small pools. It was gross seeing all the sunscreen floating at the top of the pools. Poor maintenance. ****The adult pool costs $10 extra***** wth???? Additionally, they only check if you have a room key at the pool but there is no way to verify you are an active resident so essentially anyone could walk into the pool with a key so watch your stuff! My mother in-law who is handicapped and can't walk without a cane was placed in a handicap room at the end of the hallway. Please note in the photo with how long a hallway is. Who puts a handicap person at the end of a hallway???? The room a/c filters need to be checked. They are old, noisy and slow. Families with children should be roomed close to the pool, no exceptions. Children shouldn't have to be walked through all of that cigarette smoke. If your military sign up for "MLife", you'll get free parking but no one tells you that, not even the front desk. The room safe hadn't been reset, which took over an hour for maintenance to come and reset. Just a complete waste of our family vacation. Wish we'd chose somewhere else.
