  • We recently had AMA Repiping complete our home in Ladera Ranch, CA too. We had a trip planned the first 3 days of the repipe which helped. We had to entrust them with our house key because we already had our vacation set. My mom came by twice a day to feed our fish and she said the men working were always nice to her. After we returned from our trip we actually just left the garage open every day at 8 am, and if we had to leave we just told them we would be back later and that the garage was open. They had worked on a few other houses on our street, so I trusted that someone was keeping an eye out. I never had a problem. There was paper & plastic over all the floors and plastic covering rooms or areas not being touched. I am not going to lie about the amount of dust everywhere for about 2 weeks, and it is probably best to be gone the first few days while they're cutting holes if you can. I was OK with open holes in the walls and relieved to hear from the workers there were no signs of critters in our attic or walls. The drywall patches were done to my expectations and redone if they were not. The paint in some areas didn't match perfectly but our paint is 12 years old and needs a redo anyways. My only advice is ask the workers to keep the doors closed so flies don't get in. Keep tabs on progress and when you see something wrong ask to have it changed politely and they won't hesitate to fix it. The project manager Andy Borisov handled our repipe within 2 weeks, gave us some helpful tips and answered any questions we had very thoroughly.
