| - 1/25/18 going to give an update. I tried out the Instacart service now offered through Heinens and was very impressed. The ordering process was time consuming for the first time, but I anticipate it getting quicker with repeat orders. My delivery was very prompt and friendly and exactly as ordered. If something wasn't available, they would have texted an alternative for my ok. It was very convenient for those with limited time.
I shop here fairly regularly as it's close to my house. The store is always clean with plenty of staff to help you locate what you're looking for. I've found in the past, if they don't have it, they will order it in. Every department seems to have a good variety of offerings for the health conscious cook.
Their meat selection is excellent quality. The produce section is decent, but I wish it had a larger selection.... too small for a grocery that seems to focus on healthy options. The bakery, in my opinion, is just okay. The deli, again, very good selection, especially uncured meats. Dairy is also decent.
This chain focuses on good customer service going above other grocers by having baggers and complimentary pull up loading. One thing that has changed that I've noticed is the managements over site of the younger high school workers doing checkout and bagging. There's an AWEFUL lot of gossiping going on between these young employees right in front of customers. So much so that I've several times had my whole order checked out without a hello or eye contact until I'm asked to pay. The friends just continue their conversations about their social lives when you walk up. It doesn't do these young employees any favors to not train them in good costumer service. First jobs are good for that.
Overall, I love this store and just wish it were larger!
