My dad discovered this place in the 70s and has been going there regularly ever since.
The hot table is the best I've tried. It's the standard by which I compare all other hot tables, and so far they have all come up short compared to Commisso's.
It's all about the sauce, which is very greasy and soaks through any container, paper bag or plastic that you carry the food in. Whether you get the veal sandwich, lasagna or pasta, it's the sauce that makes it so good.
You can get other stuff here too, like freshly baked bread, olives, rum-soaked Italian pastries.
You can call it "Satriales" Sopranos fans know what I'm talking about..
