| - Gas is fine, and the store is a-ok, but the wash certainly doesn't remove all the dirt -- contrary to what other reviews say. I expected something different here, but it was really the same as their other locations.
In reality (where your car lives, haha), you really do need to prewash somewhere else, even if you buy the most expensive wash (which is $12 at the time of this writing).
Also, they include a "free fragrance" with the most expensive $12 wash -- then they don't provide it when you go in for it. "All out"
All out of every scent? Yes. Meaning they don't tend to stock them. Disingenuous not to provide what is advertised & paid for.
I don't mind Terrible's for gas, but their touch free wash is certainly subpar compared to alternative brands. This one included. It's the same machine as they all use. A big, tough looking thing, yet it just doesn't work very well.
Won't visit this location very often. There are other brands of touch free car washes in town that work much better.
I'd say ALL types of touch free car washes require a pre-wash if you've fallen out of the habit of weekly washes i.e., none of them can really take off baked in dust -- even if rather light. Once your car is clean, you really have to make a habit out of using the touch free washes. That said, I find the Terrible's versions to the lowest rung in terms of performance and chemical quality.
LaserWash, in particular, if run by an owner than keeps an eye on chemical quality, tends to be much better. That's just the way it is.
