| - I purchased a Samsung Comment II Wireless phone for my boyfriend for a Christmas gift, which he loved. We went to the Cricket Wireless store on McKnight Road in Pittsburgh, PA 15237 today, 12-26-2012 to activate the phone. While the activation was taking place, we needed to make sure that we had access to Hotmail.com because this is a business phone. While in the store we tried to connect to Hotmail.com. It was unsuccessful and the 2 female employees at the counter mentioned that we should call 1-800-Cricket to get assistance. Both female employees were not interested in helping us at all. Instead they were more interested in going on Facebook, which I witnessed and texting.
We were very disappointed and left and drove home, which is a half hour away, one-way I might add. So, then when we got home, I called Cricket and spoke with 3 different agents who all tried to resolve the issue and could not figure out why we could not connect to Hotmail.com on the Samsung Comment II Phone. This took roughly 3 hours out of our day. Since we were still unsuccessful, we drove back to the Cricket North Hills store (another 1/2 hour drive) to actually give the female employees a shot at trying to figure out this problem or to help us get another phone that would actually connect to Hotmail.com. In doing so, both employees were very rude, loud, unprofessional, disrespectful, and belligerent. My voice got loud and I was extremely confrontational, but this is because the 2 employees were of NO help and kept arguing with me instead of helping us get a phone that worked the way we needed it too!
The one employee called the store manager, Meghan, who I talked to. She was no help and also rude and hung up the phone on me. We were shocked and surprised at the outcome. Being loyal customers for 15 years, we just decided to return the phone, get our full refund and leave. The 2 female employees charged us for the restocking fee for the 2 items, the cell phone and the car charger. We were very upset with this, as the phone did not work and if a product does not work, you should not be charged for it.
Before we knew it, a screaming match occurred. We were so shocked that loyal customers were treated like this. We left the store with a return receipt for the restocking charge. I paid over $130 and came home with $64!! This whole ordeal left us very discouraged and highly upset. We are very dissatisfied.
