Costco breaks all rules. When every retailer out there has been gouging us for years, along came Costco and cut the middle man and started to offer bulk sizes, at simply amazing prices. They have been a success story, and I'm happy for them.
True, when you buy at Costco, you may end up stuck with a lifetime supply of razor blades. Or you may end up with a bag of cashew nuts so big that you'll hang your head in shame at the cash counter. But it's a steal, so who cares?
I'm glad they've been venturing on to electronics and other things. It really puts pressure on the competition to slice their prices. Thanks you, Adam Smith!
So what if they don't take a credit card? So what if they don't give you grocery bags? So what if you have to buy their silly membership card? So what if you have to elbow your way through the big warehouse? I love this place, and their $1.50 (!) hot dog+drink deal at the food counter.
