| - Stopped by to fix a broken tail light. "Which one," the guy asks me, "I don't know," I say referring to whether it was the left or right. So we go outside and I press the brake pedal and he says, "it's the left but look's like your upper brake light is out too." Okay, so I buy the bulbs, $8 a pack for a total of $16. Then the guy asks me if I need the special lube to help protect the contacts. I say no thanks and he gives me a bit of a shrug like, I'm crazy for not spending the $2 on the grease.
When I get home, I fix the lower left that was no doubt broken, but when I get to the upper light, the light looks fine. I test the light and it is fine! So, now I'm wondering about the salesman telling me the upper light is out, when I was in no way able to see (I was pressing the brake pedal). And then the grease. Now I got to spend a bunch of time for an $8 return which is an a** pain. All seems a bit sleazy to me. Autozone should stick to good customer service and not worry about making an extra buck here and there. I think these stores pressure their salesman too much.
