| - Whole Foods is pricey, although anyone going into a Whole Foods knows that is the case . I do not think a family could afford to buy all their groceries here on a routine basis, but here are a few things that I think are a good deal.
They have a big selection of fresh vegetables, for instance they had three types of kale, priced at around $4 for a bunch. I tend to buy frozen fruit because it is cheaper and their selection is terrific, big bags of black frozen cherries for $9. The meats looked good but pricey, although I looked through the items on sale and bought a roaster chicken for $11- considering it is a farm raised, baptized organic, HMO free....that is good deal. They have a big selection of already cooked foods you can take home which looked good but I am leary of how fresh these foods actually are. A cheaper option for take out is in the frozen section they had a big selection of family style meals and also near the registers is a refrigerator case of family meals to take home all of these are under $20 for a family of 3/4.
The burger joint is inside with a few stools and tables, additional seating outside. In addition to beer, great milk shakes, they feature unusual toppings on their burgers and packaged my takeout meal perfectly, separated the fries from the burger with a piece of foil. This would be a nice date night at a reasonable price.
This Whole Foods is located at the I-77 and Sam Furr Rd intersection, easy to get to from all directions.
