  • There were only two theatres playing the Doctor Who Christmas special in the area (this Harkins and the Tempe Harkins). Since our condo is approximately halfway between both places, I opted for this location because of the ample parking lot. I just didn't want to deal with trying to find parking (which some Yelpers said was a problem in Tempe). I expected the theatre to be packed, but it wasn't, which was great. I had ordered the tickets online and after picking them up at the box office, we wandered around the area enjoying the beautiful evening. The clerk did want to keep my printed documentation, which seemed kinda strange. I don't think there was anything on it in the way of identification, but I opted to take it back from him. Once inside, a short line formed (about ten people) until the doors opened for the movie. Chairs were comfy and the inside was clean. The restrooms were also clean. Didn't eat anything, although the popcorn that other people had in that big bucket did look rather yummy.
