My daughter has juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and as a complication of that she developed a severe trigger finger. She plays volleyball and club softball, so the trigger finger caused her a lot of pain and it only got worse as time went on because of her nonstop physical activity. We saw other doctors who gave her cortisone injections that didn't help, and no doctor said surgery was an option at her age (she's 11). We tried braces, and they didn't help. As a final try at getting her some help, we went to see Dr. Jones for an opinion, and I can't tell you how grateful I am that we did. He immediately knew what was wrong and said surgery could fix it. In a nutshell, she had the surgery and he removed part of her tendon as well as a "casing" around the tendon. After about 6 weeks, my daughter is living without chronic pain for the first time in three years and is back to playing sports. Dr. Jones is a phenomenal surgeon, and Sylvie in his physical therapy department is wonderful. The combination of a great doctor and a great physical therapist has changed my daughter's life. I highly recommend Dr. Jones.
