Very simple, it's a thrift shop. They have a way better selection than say a local Goodwill. The interior is a bit dated and dusty especially on the ceiling and HVAC system. So if you have sensitive allergies you probably need to steer clear of thrift shops in the first place. I'm a bit perturbed that they have ceased to price in-house. They have the items sent to the Independence Blvd location for pricing and sent back to sell. I just find this to be completely ridiculous and inefficient. For instance they were selling some off brand men jeans for 12.50 that's a straight rip off. Most clothing articles range between 2-5 bucks. When I asked management about this that's when I found out that that corporate stopped allowing them to price their own merchandise.
All in all, I love shopping at Value Village because you never know what you will find.
