Living in the Southern Highlands area, this was the closest Barnes and Nobles to me. I was at first put off by the average Yelp reviews but I figured I would make my own opinion once I enter the establishment. I've frequented many Barnes and Nobles throughout my lifetime so I knew what to expect overall. Needless to say, I had a great experience. Before entering the store, I noticed that it was situated in an area with many great shops - Michael's, Nordstrom rack, etc. There is a Starbucks associated with the store, which I didn't enter since it was 8:30 PM and I didn't feel the need to be wired for the night. When first entering the store, they have a clean display of books on sale. In other stores I've noticed these displays are usually haphazard, but I was pleased to see how clean and organized it was. When entering the store, I noticed how organized everything was as well. Sections were clearly labeled right above the shelves as well as hanging overhead. My purpose for the visit was to purchase a book I saw at the Golden Gate Bridge gift shop when I visited San Francisco. I went to the information desk and was told it wasn't available but that they could order it for me and it would come in store. Since I am leaving for Michigan on Thursday, I declined. I then went to an area right before the information desk with a display of adult coloring books. They had a great variety and some where discounted with pencils available, so I purchased it, along with another book about American state parks; both were on sale. Overall I found the layout to be intuitive and easy to maneuver. All the items were organized and displayed nicely and the staff that I interacted with were very friendly. A solid bookstore for any book lover out there!
