I have been working out at Pure Barre for the past 3 weeks and can honestly say that I absolutely love it. I am not a runner... or much of a gym go-er for that matter. I have had a gym membership for just over a year and am lucky if I go 3-4 times a month. Pure Barre, on the other hand, I am constantly finding time in my very busy schedule to squeeze in a class as often as I can. I'm addicted and I love it. Although I have a lot of room for improvement, I can see definition in my legs, abs, buns and arms that I haven't noticed in years. I look forward to my classes and have really loved every instructor I have had. The energy and environment is awesome and I would strongly recommend that you give the class a try.
First timers: wear crops or pants (no shorts) and grippy socks if you have them. Don't be ashamed to tell them that you're new and they will make you feel very welcome. They will help your form and encourage you when you're doing awesome. My first day I felt like I would never be able to complete a set and 3 weeks later I am already so much better. Give it a shot and good luck!
